Before you run out and get your flu shot, you might want to think about who you're letting inject you. Where did these vaccines come from? How do we know what's in them? Whether they'll work? Whether they're serving some other purpose? Genetic markers. Biological or chemical testing. You never know.
I'm pretty turned off to getting mysterious shots, I'll take my chances getting sick.

In other news, I've heard about the recent occurrences of petrification. If you've got any information on them and wouldn't mind sharing it, I'd like to hear it.

To be honest, I'm surprised that so many people are trusting vaccines from the deities - especially considering just how much distrust there is normally. I guess when it's convenient, they'll flock to the 'bad guys.'

Personally, I wouldn't. Then again, maybe it's a horrible super-flu that only those suffering from it can know the full, tragic extent of it.

Well I know I don't have any kind of tracking device in me, but considering how much we keep secret from the rest of the world, I can't say for certain it isn't happening someplace. And I suppose just the very idea that the deities are providing vaccinations directly is a little suspicious.

How do you know you don't? It depends on who's doing the tracking, doesn't it?

I find the fact that they're offering it as a choice suspicious, personally. Like they need our compliance, our willingness-- it's reason enough to make me want to resist.

Fair enough. These were pretty hard to catch, but the problem's not so much finding the evidence as keeping it. And getting people to believe in it.

If someone has to tell me to do something, there's usually a good reason why I wouldn't want to do it on my own.

Which I think is funny, because we did everything we possibly could to keep it all a secret from people. And you've no idea how hard it can get to convince people there's nothing at all strange going on when you're sewers are infested with Weevils.

Why the secrecy? Don't people have a right to know when the sky's falling?

I know it's trite, but power corrupts. If I believed those in power were really giving orders that were in my best interest, things might be different. If they weren't trying to hide the truth, trying to serve their own interests at the expense of those they ought to be protecting.

But I think it's important, too, to have someone you believe is thinking about what's best. Maybe not for you personally, but for the general good. The bigger picture.
