Two weeks.

For anyone who knows her, Agent Scully has once again left the City.

Yesterday was far too reminiscent of the mushroom thing for my tastes. Then again, I've been waiting for this place to dissolve into a pile of green goo since October.

Long story. Carnivorous subterranean mushrooms, actually.

Wait. And this was here? In the City? As in, there're flesh-eating mushrooms underground right now?

Oh, no. That was at home.

It kept us immobilized with hallucinogens while digesting us with the fungal equivalent of stomach acid.

Well, I don't live there, it was in North Carolina. But apart from almost being eaten alive, it was fascinating. Acres and acres, all one big, hungry, hiker-munching fungal organism.

...I guess you could call them that, though it was technically the spores that caused the hallucinations, as opposed to ingesting the mushroom itself.
