[Flagged to the Police Force; Not Private]
I've spoken to a few of you, but I guess I ought to do this formally.
My name is Fox Mulder, and I'd like to apply to join the police force. I graduated from Oxford University in 1986, summa cum laude, with a BA in Psychology; after which, i studied at the FBI Academy at Quantico, and graduated with honors. I was assigned to the Violent Crimes Section and then the Behavioral Sciences Unit at the Bureau, where I worked for several years. I'd offer more specific references, but it's not like you can call them up, here.
The majority of my work, however, has been on the so-called 'X-Files'; cases left unsolved, with apparent ties to paranormal phenomena, which had been largely ignored for a number of years until I began to pursue them. As such, I have nearly a decade's worth of experience investigating, well, stuff most people don't believe in.
As far as references go, a number of individuals in the City are aware of my work, although no one from my world appears to be present. I can refer you definitely to Debra Morgan within your own department... And to a few others if needed, pending my affirming that they're willing to recommend me.
I can drop by tomorrow for the actual forms and whatever tests you have to put me through, if that's convenient.
Anything else?

Very stylish, that weather. More horror-flick than gothic novel, maybe, but stylish nonetheless. I didn't see anything in particular-- not clearly, anyway-- but I think I'm getting the gist of this curse stuff. So, fun like that happens on a regular basis, huh?
You guys can consider this a public service announcement: I am not, nor have I ever been, David Duchovney. While I appreciate the enthusiastic reactions mentioning this handsome man elicits, I'm not him, I've never heard of him and I don't really want to hear about him.Not even the stuff involving Tea Leoni. Reality is more subjective than usual around here.
Rumors of my being Fox Mulder are, however, completely accurate.
[ooc: canonically the years don't entirely add up but that's more or less an accurate resume for him :3 Unless it clashes with anyone else's preferences, Policefolk can assume he'll be in at some point tomorrow to do whatever he needs to for ya ♥ AND, per his PSA-- I don't mind the 4th walling, but he does, hah.]

Just a head's up: if the tabloids come a-calling with their 'TV STAR GONE INSANE!' headlines, don't say you weren't warned. They can be ruthless with people's "quirks".

amusementsconcerns, here.strike deleted!
At least here, I don't have the paparazzi following me around.
Or the police. Or Captain America. Or anybody else.no subject
Why did the paparazzi follow you around at home?

Mom and Dad were in the business.

What, actors? Anything I would've seen?

General Hospital? The Public Defender? Making Time?

I'm not really into soaps, and the others aren't ringing any bells. Though theoretically, they don't necessarily exist in my world, I guess.

I guess there's no Alec Baldwin or Kim Basinger in your world either.

They're there... I think there's a significant overlap between worlds, at least in some cases? I suspect the multiverse probably isn't creative to come up with an infinite number of completely discrete universes.
[ooc: I'm too half-asleep to double-check through IMDB and the lists of things referenced in the show but that's probably right, ahahahaha. >___>]

I didn't understand a word you just wrote, but can I safely assume you've heard of Angelina Jolie? Frank Dean? Michael Jackson? Leslie Dean?
[ooc: That's okay. I'm too drugged up to care =D and Frank and Leslie Dean are her parents, BTW. She just slipped them in there all ninja-like.]

Are there really worlds without Michael Jackson? I'm not sure whether I should be jealous or sorry for them.
[ooc: I-I think most people are slightly less OCD about this kind of thing than me. >_> incidentally, 'Leslie Dean' brings up a movie called 'Sin in '69' with keywords for full frontal nudity, horror, and lesbian sex scenes. I wouldn't be surprised if he had seen that. x_x oh Mulder.]

[ooc: I feel you on the OCD. I'm always double checking pop culture refs for her too. AND OMG AHAHAHA Mulder, you freaky dreaky man.]

[ooc: WHAT CAN I SAY, THE MAN LIKES HIM SOME PORN. XD Oh, continuity. Trying to put myself into the 1999 mindset is easier said than done, haha.]
