[Flagged to the Police Force; Not Private]
I've spoken to a few of you, but I guess I ought to do this formally.
My name is Fox Mulder, and I'd like to apply to join the police force. I graduated from Oxford University in 1986, summa cum laude, with a BA in Psychology; after which, i studied at the FBI Academy at Quantico, and graduated with honors. I was assigned to the Violent Crimes Section and then the Behavioral Sciences Unit at the Bureau, where I worked for several years. I'd offer more specific references, but it's not like you can call them up, here.
The majority of my work, however, has been on the so-called 'X-Files'; cases left unsolved, with apparent ties to paranormal phenomena, which had been largely ignored for a number of years until I began to pursue them. As such, I have nearly a decade's worth of experience investigating, well, stuff most people don't believe in.
As far as references go, a number of individuals in the City are aware of my work, although no one from my world appears to be present. I can refer you definitely to Debra Morgan within your own department... And to a few others if needed, pending my affirming that they're willing to recommend me.
I can drop by tomorrow for the actual forms and whatever tests you have to put me through, if that's convenient.
Anything else?

Very stylish, that weather. More horror-flick than gothic novel, maybe, but stylish nonetheless. I didn't see anything in particular-- not clearly, anyway-- but I think I'm getting the gist of this curse stuff. So, fun like that happens on a regular basis, huh?

You guys can consider this a public service announcement: I am not, nor have I ever been, David Duchovney. While I appreciate the enthusiastic reactions mentioning this handsome man elicits, I'm not him, I've never heard of him and I don't really want to hear about him. Not even the stuff involving Tea Leoni. Reality is more subjective than usual around here.

Rumors of my being Fox Mulder are, however, completely accurate.

[ooc: canonically the years don't entirely add up but that's more or less an accurate resume for him :3 Unless it clashes with anyone else's preferences, Policefolk can assume he'll be in at some point tomorrow to do whatever he needs to for ya ♥ AND, per his PSA-- I don't mind the 4th walling, but he does, hah.]

Definitely vouching for you, Special Fucking Agent Fox Goddamn Mulder.

It'll be an absolute honor working with you.

.....should I not believe you when you say that you're Fox Mulder?

What kind of sick bloke would use the name Fox as a cover?

Oh it gets even funner with some others. It rained candy once! Worse at times too. But you'll get used to it Mulder. God, I still can't believe we're living in the same flat.

It's a terrible name. Don't fool yourself.

[identity profile] hisplusone.livejournal.com 2008-10-10 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Well it was actually candy hearts on Valentine's Day so it really wasn't all that sticky. Sort of twisted though. There was a baking curse once. That really wasn't so bad.

Yeah. Like cakes and cookies. It was rather funny to observe those that it hit.

Procedure is to file a request with Riza Hawkeye.

[ooc: ...have a police member who's thrilled to see at least someone provide a background orz]

And it gets even better. There was once a body swap one. I ended up trading bodies with this mate of mine who was a male ninja. Maybe that one will hit repeat at some point.

Um, none. At least from what I saw. People actually seemed to know what they were doing. The curses do that to you. Like this one time I was a super genius and then at midnight it all just faded.

Is your name one that's been passed down through the family?

My brother's name is Regulus Arcturus, if you want to make fun of him, too.

Family name.

Your... involvement with the paranormal has included spiritual perception and activity?

[identity profile] canisfidelus.livejournal.com 2008-10-10 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
Him? Maybe, I never kept much track on who was pounding his face in except for me.

Me? I don't get beaten up.

[identity profile] hisplusone.livejournal.com 2008-10-10 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Well you just might get your chance here. At least for a full day. If that ever happened though, you know, I'd have to take some pictures.

No one really knows what causes it. Some say the deities, others that clock in the Underground. It's quite the mystery.

How would you like to meet even more interesting people on Sunday? Um, if you're free that is.

Their ranks are more thorough.

The unit that predicates over the dead and their souls lacks in numbers.

We'll take you.
