Maybe we shouldn't be living normal lives, if normal lives mean the truth needs to be hidden from us. I understand wanting to protect people, but when protecting people involves keeping them in the dark... I don't like being lied to. I've spent my life feeling like the boy who cried wolf, not because I've raised the alarm when nothing was there, but because every time I've had the proof in my hands it's been taken from me, not to protect people but to protect the men who are working with them, working to aid a hostile extraterrestrial race in the colonization of our planet, in exchange for their own personal safety.

Perhaps that's the sole difference between our points of view. Those who truly want to protect the people are quickly silenced where I'm from, and those who only wish to protect themselves hold power. They're not trying to save the world; they're bringing about the end as we know it, and they'll stop at nothing to protect their interests. Secrecy for the sake of protecting the threat.
