Before you run out and get your flu shot, you might want to think about who you're letting inject you. Where did these vaccines come from? How do we know what's in them? Whether they'll work? Whether they're serving some other purpose? Genetic markers. Biological or chemical testing. You never know.
I'm pretty turned off to getting mysterious shots, I'll take my chances getting sick.

In other news, I've heard about the recent occurrences of petrification. If you've got any information on them and wouldn't mind sharing it, I'd like to hear it.

I don't suppose there is any point in starting this conversation with, "You see, I have this friend..."

I've only been in the City for about two weeks and already I get the feeling that it's not the best idea to trust the folks in charge. Normally I'd take it at that and go about my business, but I have a slight problem. I think my pills fell in the fountain when I landed...appeared... got here. I mean, I haven't seen them since I got here. Is there somewhere that I can go that isn't affiliated with the City or the Deities.

To the best of my knowledge, the City Hospital is run by the people, not the deities. New arrivals tend to drift into what they used to do at home-- I went into the police force since I've got an FBI background, most people who were doctors found jobs in the Hospital. There's also a clinic, I've heard, which might be further removed from Deity control.

I suppose more than anything my concern is, where do these facilities get their pharmaceuticals? It's the sort of medication that I need to take every day and if one shot of some vaccine can't be trusted then...

Honestly? I haven't a clue. Supplies must be brought in from some other reality, I guess-- food and stuff, too, not just medicine. But... I think voluntarily looking for a medication you need is a little different from accepting a mysterious vaccine shot, from deities whose agenda doesn't generally seem to be in our best interests, don't you think?

That's part of what the medicine is for. To keep my paranoia at a healthy level. I'm usually okay, but stressful situations make it worse. I guess you could say that coming here has been stressful.I met someone I thought was dead and it would seem that she'd still like to have me under her thumb, and like I said, I've only been here for a couple of weeks.

So, you think the City Hospital's drugs will be safe?

As safe as anything here is. At least, it's probably a better bet than going cold-turkey off your meds, right?

And, yeah, this place is good for that kind of thing. Dead people, fictional people, people who think you're fictional... You get used to it after a while. Sort of.

Well, I think at this point "going cold-turkey" is a moot point. It's been two weeks since I even saw a pill. I just don't think that I can handle life without the meds right now. Thanks for talking.

I suppose it has it's high points. I'm just waiting to get to one before I make any sort of decision about this place.

I really hate hospitals. They always want to keep me "for observation". That will suck. There won't really be any point in me keeping all of this a secret from my friends if they want to keep me for a couple of days.
